Winds in the Teens, great day of racing our boat is number 250...we had a great start!Add Comment Leg 7, the finale leg starts tomorrow, but today is the in port race that will be worth up to 6 points, so, as close as this race is, these points are precious!! What as Puma sails into Miami! All the boats have to round the outermost light house of the Bahamas, so they all will have to fight the gulf stream...looks like Puma is turning south in shallower water before hitting the stream. See the tracker Back to back filming: Blind Sailing international event in San Francisco June 1-3, then College Nationals Coed Championship in Austin Texas, June 6-8. Both events will be the largest for me. I will have 6 cameras and microphones to capture the on-board video. I feel sorry for the editors, but there should be no lack of footage! J-24 's for the Blind Sailing event will have the P5000 mount on the stern with VIO POV HD cameras and Sennheiser wireless microphones. And, at the mast will be the P50 mast mount with the same camera and microphone set up. 2 cameras on each the US boats!! 470's for the College Nationals will have the P50 mast mount with VIO POV HD cameras and Sennheiser microphones. Up to 6 boats. I have only had 2 camera set ups in the past College Nationals. Should be fun but quite a work out!! I hope to put up some highlights here and/or on the video page! Stay tuned! Puma still in the lead, just north and outside of the Bahamas. The rest of the fleet look to sneak inside the islands and take the gulf stream current north to Miami. Will Puma loose out on the having to fight back on the Gulf Stream Current or are the boats too fast to worry about a 4 knot current? Watching the Volvo Open Race has been quite fun! Finally sailing video, practically live, makes you feel a part of the racing. Skyhawk is a S2 7.9 Owned by myself and Michael Doyle. We have been working on her for a couple of weeks now and hope to put in next Thursday in time for the first race on Sunday. We race one design on Lake Minnetonka in Minnesota. (13) S2 7.9's on the line when all are there. Over 100 boats total. Let the fun begin!!
