Yes!! I will be filming in Oakland CA for a Blind Sailing Regatta. Sailors from across the globe will be coming for this event. June 1st - June 3rd. They will be sailing out of the Island Yacht Club. More on this later!
Good video comes from these boats, makes one feel very much a part of the event. The self leveling cameras certainly add to the quality. Puma Takes a brief lead during the in shore spectator race! We all have been waiting the WiFi Bac Pac!! Looks like it will be available late this summer. Keep checking back, I will have some of the first shipments! I went to check out our S2 7.9 Skyhawk and noticed the windows were falling out. I just redid them 2 yrs ago and it was near impossible to remove the old ones, what did I do wrong? Probably didn't prepare the plexyglass to adhere to the silicone. So just another project to add to the list. The mount that I used in the Virgin Islands. Save $100.00!! Check it out! It was assembled with a couple of miss-matched anodized colors. (noticed only when you look close)...doesn't affect the function! Ken Read and Team Puma cross the finish line just minutes ahead of Telefonica...this weekend! This is the first of a few videos I will edit from our trip to the Virgin Islands, Racing on "Safara" a Andrews 72, in the Rolex St Thomas Regatta! We learned so much and this video has some good training for all....especially how hard it is to bring down a large spinnaker....don't let it get in the water!! Watch as we tackle this problem! Here are a couple of pics of our crew and Host Randee and Jim Hurst. More videos to come...still working on them! Thanks to Jim and Randee Hurst of Safe Passage Sailing, we all had a great time sailing! Brian and Rich were very patient with us "beer can" racers teaching us the ropes of a large 72 foot yacht! Our fleet was put with a group of TP 52s and a couple of other very racy boats while the rest of us were cruising boats so we basically won the cruising division, or as Brian put it we won the "furniture division". I still am smiling as Brian handed me the helm while holding a good groove up wind, tacking and even rounding a mark until the jib blew out...not my fault a batten gave way and shreaded the upper part of the sail. Great fun!! You too can have this same adventure, see www.safepassagesailing.com More video of this trip to come!! New back stay mount worked great! |
